Paid Research Opportunity: Help Shape ISL & Subtitling on Irish TV and Video-on-Demand
Tilting the Lens (a Disabled-led accessibility consultancy), in partnership with Sofiya Kalinova BL and Trinity’s Centre for Deaf Studies, is conducting research for Coimisiún na Meán on the quality of Irish Sign Language (ISL) and subtitling on Irish broadcast TV and video-on-demand.
They are seeking 100 d/Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard-of-Hearing people across Ireland to complete a paid survey. They are especially keen to hear from individuals with diverse backgrounds and intersectional lived experiences (e.g., LGBTQ+, Traveller/Roma, youth, and/or ethnic minorities).
Compensation: €70 per participant
Accessibility: The sign-up form is accessible with embedded ISL, and a plain language version is also available.
Deadline to apply: 20th August.
